Dr. Marc Williams is widely regarded as a “Marketing Guru”, Sports Marketing Pioneer and Pop Culture Expert. He worked for three of the largest sports brands in the world: Champs Sports, Footaction and Reebok.

Dr. Williams is the former Brand Director for Athletic Retailer Champs Sports and helped Champs Sports become a $1 billion dollar brand. Marc was instrumental in negotiating the Sports Retail Industries 1st global campaign for the Hip Hop industry by signing a deal with Ruff Ryder Records and Grammy award winning artist Eve. Williams was instrumental in helping to start the MOST successful grassroots basketball tour EVER; The And 1 Mix tape tour.

Marc also led a team that created College Football’s Champs Sports Bowl that featured teams in the ACC and the Big East and had a bowl game payout of $4.25 million. Williams negotiated the Champs Sports brand to be featured in 105 music videos, 85 feature films and 15 video games.

Dr. Williams has worked with many prominent sports and entertainment icons such as: Michael Jordan, Beyoncé, and Will Farrell and was a key member to negotiate the monumental Reebok deal with Hip Hop icons, Jay Z and 50 Cent.

Dr. Marc launched his own award-winning brand management consulting firm, Williams Communications, LLC.  Recently, CNN named Dr. Williams as one of the top 10 college motivational speakers in the United States, and was selected to Sports Illustrated’s Top 101 Minorities in Sports.

 CURRENTLY, Dr. Williams is featured in a ESPN and PBS documentary on the “Culture of Sports”–narrated by Acting Icon, James Earl Jones. He is producing an ESPN 30 for 30 about Boston Celtic Hall of Famer Jo Jo White. He also mentors some of the nations’ top Athletes: Clemson’s Deshaun Watson, Stanford’s Christian McCaffery, Tennessee’s Josh Dobbs and Seattle Seahawks Tyler Lockett. Dr. Williams also is on the Board of Directors for the College Football’s Jet Awards- which is given to the top College punt returner in the United States.

Dr. Williams earned a Masters in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts and a Doctorate in Education from West Virginia University.
