Happy February! There are numerous events, opportunities, and trainings for everyone this month. Please check the Lucas Center calendar for details.
Our Quality Matters Conversations in the Living Room have been well attended and feedback shows faculty are interested in working with their Instructional Designer to certify their online courses as High Quality. Are you interested in having your online course certified as High Quality for the next five years? CJ Jordanek and Diane Marks will host two sessions of the Quality Matters Conversation in the Living Room Wednesday, February 13th 11:00am-12:00pm and Thursday, February 14th 2:00-3:00pm. Both sessions will be held in the Lucas Center (LIB 221). We are also offering a virtual Quality Matters Conversation in the Living Room Friday, February 22nd from 10:00am-11:00am. Please register for all of these sessions with Nick Lumia (firstname.lastname@example.org). Access information for the virtual session will be sent to those who have registered with Nick Lumia.
We would also like to welcome Michael Dunbar as our new Instructional Technologist. Many of you have worked with Michael for Checkbox training. We are thrilled to have him transition to full-time in The Department of E-Learning and Academic Web!
Summer 2019 and Fall 2019 courses have been generated in Canvas. Please take a moment to check and make sure you are assigned to the correct courses. This is also a great time to contact your Instructional Designer to:
- Review an existing course
- Redesign a course
- Design a new course
- Discuss online/blended teaching strategies
- Explore online/blended learning
We Hope to hear from you soon!
